UV screen printing and hot-foil stamping in one single step
with Sakurai in-line hot-foil stamper
As specialist for sophisticated print tasks ESC is actually offering a new time- and cost-saving solution for finishing UV-varnished screen prints with metallized hot foil. The in-line hot foil stamper Sakurai LQM Evolution is suitable for all graphic, packaging, automotive, appliance and plastic card applications etc.
Screen printing, drying, hot foil stamping and stacking in one production process. Simply and quickly the user achieves high-quality prints with amazing flat, tactile or 3D effects. The LQM Evolution is designed to be fully integrated into every Sakurai screen printing line, installed after the dryer and before the stacker. The job setting is very easy and the machine can be operated by less experienced staff. No more need for dies and the foil waste is minimized. After the image has been printed as UV-varnish on the substrate and then dried, the foil is applied exactly only on the necessary parts, meaning the printed area.
Via touchscreen the operator can enter such parameters as foil application temperature, foil application pressure, substrate length, number of decoration areas or indexing front to back (multi foil application). The machine is also equipped for remote teleassistance and is able to handle sheets with a max. size of 520 mm x 760 mm (model LQM 76) or 1050 mm x 760 mm (model LQM 105). The LQM Evolution can also be integrated into existing Sakurai cylinder screen printing lines.
The interlinking of different production processes is a very important component when manufacturing plastic products.
